Hey my friends !
Banggood asked to send me this flashlight to check if its a good one:

1 X Holster
1 X Manual
1 X Box

so here is what arrived and what i found out:

the flashlight comes without a box or a lot protection from the manufacturer

banggood wrapped that into foiam and bubble foil to give it at least some protection.

whats inside:

The flashlight comes with an extension to use 3 cells and the 3 plastic tubes allow using 26650 cells instead of 26650

there is also a holster and a manual

the manual is written in chinese and english

unfortunately there was a damage (beside some tiny scratches) that prevented to mount the extension tube:

after i bent that back i inspected the other threads and Orings as well -> poor quality….

the tailcap-end of the 2cell tube

the head-end of the 2cell tube

the tailcap-end of the extension tube – the Oring does nothing….

there is anodization left on the tube (might cause bad contact to the tailcap….

no comment…

lets have a look into the tailcap…

not really a tight fit….

disassembled

the thick spring and the brass button (very massive!)

the cone-shaped pressfit PVC which prevents the spring from shortening

yes – that IS a omten switch!

lets look into the head!

(through the non-coated lens)

at the bottom of the heavily OP reflector sits a XHP50

well centered…

the bezel came off easy and shows a wobbely reflector

thats why: a thick centering ring is plugged into the aluminium reflector

also cone shaped (maybe to block less light)

threaded inside?

that pot comes off also and shows a floating pill

sorry – but this time that is necessary to explain my impressions…

its just held down by the force of the reflector (which is hels in place by the bezel/glas)

at least there is “some mass” (we have seen floating MCPCBs also)

the wire holes are not drilled across from the center – so the red LED wire is pinched

and here is the place where the “heattarnsfer” happens – a 0,6mm wide shelf

(i already postet the related .gif above…)

the driver spring is massive – but soldered poorly

opened

QC anyone?

yes – the driver slipped thru the pill without desoldering….

R100 – hmmmm…..

there is PWM on low:

on mid

not in high

beamshots taken with: Sony NEX-F3 (ISO400 / F5 / 1/12 sec)

the beam from 0.5m distance

from 1m

no donut hole from the quad die

this leads me to the UI:

mode order: High – Medium -Low -Strobe – SOS

mode memory: yes – after 1 sec ANY mode will come back after the light is switched on again
INCLUDING the disco modes

2x HE2 (4,1V)

L0,2145
2x 26650 (4,15V)
H1,641261

size comparisons…

X60M – K60 – 26650 cell – sharp eagle XHP50 – 18650 cell – shadow JM30 – S2+ – S1

in the holster

conclusion:

MEH! i am afraid that is a dull eagle….

this light uses some nice components (LED, reflector and switch)

but its build quality is substandard!

the floating pill prevents it from being a good host for modding

the “anodization” is shiny and slippery
